Challenge your weaves and jump discrimination skills! - by Cathrine Skaret

#1 - #3:

This start will challenge your dog's discrimination skills and verbal skills, as you don't want him to go directly from obstacle #1 to the weaves.

Two alternatives;

Alternative 1: Threadle #1 - #2 by choosing to do a backside "out" to #2, and do a lap turn into the weaves.

Alternative 2: Threadle #1- #2 by standing on the inside, cueing "in-in"/come to hand to #2 and just send to the weaves.

From the weaves, you can choose either crossing behind the dog as he enters the weaves or staying on the same side as you send and either do a blindcross or lap turn to #4. Depends on how your dog handles distraction while weaving.

#10 - #13:

Choosing a handling option here is all about choosing the fastest line to #12 so you can show the inside line to #13.

Two alternatives:

Alternative 1: Flick after the tunnel on #11. Gives you a lot of time to work at #12 - #13

Alternative 2: Wrap after the tunnel on #11. Depending on your dog's commitment to the jump, you can leave early and be ready to work inside #13.

For my dog, I chose alternative 2 both times as that was our fastest way of handling.

Thank you for watching, hope you have fun doing my handling challenge!
